Hey, isn’t it dangerous for pregnant women and young children to drink unpasteurised juice?

Yes, most raw juices are not safe. When you’re pregnant, your immune system is suppressed. Drinking raw juice has been associated with foodborne disease caused by E.coli 0157H7 or Salmonella species that can make people seriously ill. Especially vulnerable are the young, elderly and pregnant women.

How many juices do you suggest I order?

We want people to have one juice a day alongside their normal diets. The huge amount of extra goodness everyday has made a massive difference to our customers. (see testimonials)

Why have we only got one juice?

It took us two years of tweaking to get our green juice perfect.

We are working on more recipes focusing on maximum health benefits with minimal sugar content. These things take a lot of time and love, its a challenge but one that we relish. Sit tight and we’ll keep you posted ☺

Why Separation?

Separation occurs naturally, only additives can prevent it. We don’t add any junk to our juice so don’t panic!

Sometimes white specks may appear at the bottom of the bottle. These are ginger sediments, which are completely natural.

Why don’t we Pasteurise?

Pasteurisation kills enzymes, vitamins and minerals. The nutritional value of juices that are pasteurised is severely diminished.

To Detox or not to Detox?

The Greenhouse Juicery Co don’t believe in detoxes. Our philosophy is to drink a green juice everyday as part of a healthy happy lifestyle.

Why do we HPP our Juice?

High Pressure Pascalisation, “HPP”, uses high pressure instead of heat to inhibit microflora growth in fresh food and therefore naturally extends its shelf life. Unlike pasturisation, pascalisation is an external process; the raw product itself is never touched.

After the product is in it’s final packaging, our pressurising method uses only the evenly distributed pressure of cool water (5c) to short circuit any potential harmful pathogens, such as Listeria, E. coli, Salmonella, lactic acid bacteria, yeast & mold.

Pressure drastically reduces the overall microbiological contaminant flora and pathogens, eliminating the possibility of recontamination. Because of the chilled temperature at which the juice is treated, alongside the minimal impact that pressure has on the juice, the juice remains “raw” and the taste remains the same. Not only that, the nutritional content is not effected during this process. Clever stuff 😉

Why is cold pressed juice expensive?

Organic vegetables are expensive and lots of them go into each bottle of juice. Quality & quantity comes with a cost.
